Wolves have signed the winger Adama Traore for a club record fee of £18m. The Spanish will have his third experience in the Premier League, after making part of the Aston Villa squad that was relegated in 2015/2016 and Middlesbrough, who had the same destination one year after.
International U21 for Spain, Traore is a product of the famous Barcelona La Masia but it was last year with Tony Pulis that he finally exploded with the Middlesbrough jersey. Now at Wolves we still have to understand where he will play, but most probably will share time with the Portuguese Ivan Cavaleiro and Helder Costa.
Max Meyer has joined Crystal Palace after his contract with Schalke expired. The 22 years old player was a regular first team player for the German side for the last 5 years but last April he criticized the club sporting director and he didn’t play anymore until the end of the contract.
Meyer was for a long time a target of some top teams, including Arsenal, but this behavior made those teams to look at him with other eyes. His agent also said many times that Meyer is a world class player and that he has the earn a salary around 8M euros a year. With the time running out, and still without club, it was clear that amount was nothing but a dream but accordingly to the news he will receive around 4M euros a year.
For Crystal Palace this is no doubt a good risk to take. Meyer is indeed a very talented player and even with this high salary, they can make a huge profit in one or two years if everything goes in the right way.
Everton just confirmed the agreement with the French defender Lucas Digne. The 25 years old hopes this way to put his career back on the right track after some seasons when he was a second option for PSG and then for Barcelona.
“I want to play games, win games and excite the fans with the quality of our football” he said to the club official website.
This is the second big transfer of the club this season, after paying a 40M euros fee for Richarlison, in what it should be a totally renewed left side for them.
Last week Marco Silva said in an interview that he needed some new players and they look to be still looking for a defender, with Marco Rojo being linked to them in the last days.
Atletico Madrid announced earlier today that they reached an agreement with PSV for the signing of Santiago Arias. The Colombian International competed for 5 years in the Dutch team, playing 172 games in total. The Colombian international will fight with Juanfran for a place in the starting 11.
On the way out we have Vrsaljko, who will join Inter on an initial one year loan, with the Italians having an option to complete a permanent deal with the Croatian international. With Cancelo sold to Juventus, Vrsaljko should find no problems to get a place in the starting 11.
Fulham have announced the signing of the Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic from Newcastle. The player was on loan for the second part of the season, scoring 12 goals and helping Fulham to get promoted.
This is a great chance for Mitrovic to show his great potential in the Premier League after a disappointing period with Newcastle, where we scored 14 goals in 65 appearances.
Mitrovic joins Schurrle and Jean Seri as the big transfers of the club for the season, with Alfie Mawson from Swansea most probably to be the next.
